FAQ'S
+ What is the maximum capacity?
The Barn Pavilion comfortably accommodates approximately 150 seated guests, depending on the table and chair layout selected for your event.
For larger events, additional seating may be incorporated outdoors. To ensure adequate covered seating and guest comfort, tent rentals are strongly recommended for events with more than 100 guests and are REQUIRED for events exceeding 150 guests.
If you are expecting a larger guest count, our team will be happy to discuss layout and tent options to help create the best experience for your guests.
+ Do you offer catering?
Yes. Bass Lake Venue offers in-house catering for events hosted at the venue. Our team can prepare a customized menu based on your event style, guest count, and preferences.
Our catering is led by an award-winning Executive Chef with experience serving at the highest levels of the culinary industry. We believe great food is one of the most memorable parts of any event, and our goal is to provide a dining experience that your guests will be talking about long after the celebration is over.
Many clients choose our catering because it simplifies planning and allows for seamless coordination between the venue, kitchen, and event timeline.
If you would like a catering quote, we are happy to provide a custom proposal based on your event details.
+ Do you allow outside caterers?
No. Bass Lake Venue exclusively provides in-house catering for all events hosted at the venue.
This policy is intentional and was created to provide the highest level of service, food quality, and overall guest experience. Because our venue and catering teams work together as one coordinated team, we are able to manage every aspect of food service from preparation and presentation to buffet maintenance, kitchen management, cleanup, and event timing.
Our catering service is more than just the food itself. Our team handles delivery, setup, service support, replenishing buffet items, kitchen cleanup, and coordination with the event timeline so that you, your family, and your guests can focus on enjoying the celebration.
All menus are prepared by our award-winning Executive Chef, whose experience includes serving professional athletes and leading high-volume culinary operations. We take pride in catering meals that are both memorable and consistently executed.
By keeping catering in-house, we eliminate many of the common issues that arise when multiple vendors are responsible for the food service experience, resulting in a smoother, more enjoyable event for everyone involved.
+ Can I bring my own alcohol?
Alcohol may not be brought in by guests or hosts (no BYOB). If alcohol will be served at an event, it must be provided and served through Bass Lake Venue’s preferred licensed and insured alcohol service vendor.
This requirement ensures:
Proper licensing and liability coverage
Responsible alcohol service by trained bartenders
Compliance with venue insurance and local regulations
A safe and well-managed experience for all guests
+ Are there any decorations that are not allowed?
Yes. To protect the property and ensure a safe, clean environment for all events, the following items are not permitted at Bass Lake Venue:
Glitter
Confetti
Loose artificial flower petals
Paper petals
Sequins
Fireworks or pyrotechnics
Sky lanterns
Smoke bombs
Open-flame candles
Nails, screws, staples, or other items that may damage venue property
Battery-operated candles are welcome and are a popular alternative to traditional candles.
If you are unsure whether a decoration is permitted, please ask before your event. We are happy to help you find alternatives that fit your vision while protecting the venue.
+ Are you pet-friendly?

+ When is the final balance due?
Your final balance will be due 90 days prior to your event.
+ What is required to reserve the wedding date?

+ Do you have onsite parking?
Yes, there is ample parking on the property. We also provide a parking attendant for large weddings/events.
+ Do you have overnight accommodation?
Yes, there is a lakeside cabin that you can reserve for the night before and the night after your wedding. The cabin sleeps 9 people.
+ Is there a clean-up fee?
No, there are no additional fees for set up or break down. Client is required to follow check-out instructions that are given at time of arrival.
+ Why is Special Event Liability Insurance Required?
Special Event Liability Insurance is required for all events at Bass Lake Venue to help protect both the client and the venue in the event of an unexpected accident, injury, or property damage during the event.
While we carry insurance for the venue itself, our policy does not provide coverage for event-specific incidents involving guests, vendors, alcohol service, or activities organized by the event host. Event liability insurance helps fill that gap and provides an added layer of protection for everyone involved.
Most policies are affordable, easy to obtain online, and provide peace of mind knowing that if an unforeseen incident occurs, there is coverage in place to help handle potential claims and expenses.
Our goal is not to make planning more complicated, but to ensure that both our clients and the venue are protected so everyone can focus on enjoying the event.
